Clay Animation
In groups, participants will create models in clay and have the sequence filmed
frame by frame using stop motion animation. Their self esteem will be boosted when
they see their own art on the screen!
Juggle-A-Rama
Participants will learn how to make their very own set of juggling balls and have
a ball learning the basics of juggling and slapstick comedy. This workshop experience
will enhance the participants' motor skills and aid them in the development of hand
eye coordination while allowing them to build confidence and self esteem and have
a great deal of fun in the process!
Artist Books
What is a book? Must it have a front and back cover and be filled with pages that
turn? No! A book can be a piece of art that can be any size, shape, colour and made
out of any material under the sun! In this Bazil Grumble Artist Books workshop,
participants will learn how to bind a special book just perfect to capture all their
artistic ideas. They will be encouraged to write words, create a collage, paint
or stamp to create their own beautiful 'story' book. This workshop will give participants
the opportunity to explore their creativity and to create a unique artwork to keep
that is a reflection of their interests, skills, talents and life experiences.
Drama-Rama
Participants will enjoy a range of fun hands on games of a theatrical nature! They
will learn skills in improvisation, voice and movement and will have a good laugh
in the process! The diverse range of structured games and activities will inspire
and empower them and will allow them to develop skills in the field of drama that
are also transferable to real life situations such as leadership, confidence, self-esteem,
clear and effective speech, physical and social development, lateral and imaginative
thinking and teamwork.
Reinvent the Wheel
Have fun playing with clay on the pottery wheel. Learn more about this age old technique
of centering the clay to throw a pot. We can bring our own wheels with us for you
to use.
Mosaics and Murals
We can help you to create your own community art work. Students can make clay tiles
or create an image or we can design, create and install ceramic or painted murals
from your original concept.
Mask Creations

Children learn how to create a mask out of exciting materials
just like those in our Bazil Grumble plays! We finish with a masked parade of all
our new creations!
Puppets Galore
Students create fun folded card puppets and use a variety of exciting new and recycled
materials to bring their individual character to life.
Fresh Clay Fired Fast
Create clay sculptures and have them safely fired before your eyes. Hundred's of
sculptures can be made in one day to form a large community installation.
Testimonials
The performance and workshop was interactive, entertaining and educational. Both
Bazil and Grumble delighted and amazed our children. The workshop was fantastic
and the facilitators interacted beautifully with our multi-age group of children.
It would without a doubt be one of the best children's performances and workshops
I have ever attended.
