Like many other performing arts and education companies in Australia, Bazil Grumble are concerned for the health and well-being of our staff, students and families. Our teaching staff are following all advice from Queensland Health and Education Queensland with regard to COVID-19 and managing our classroom environment.
For term 2 drama classes, we are sadly unable to confirm dates due to the potential for school closures in April. We feel it best to wait until after the school holidays and assess the situation at that time. All going well, we aim to start our term 2 classes in the week beginning Monday 27 April. However, if our classes are unable to be held we have been pre-emptively planning and modifying our speech and drama class curriculum content into fun and engaging online modules. These videos will be available for students to access from home with the aim of minimizing disruption to student learning should school closures take place.
We are closely monitoring the rapidly changing circumstances and indeed, we are facing challenges the likes of which we have never previously experienced. We believe that every cloud has a silver lining though, and so if our classes cannot resume at the schools as planned, we look forward to sharing our love of drama with the children through a new and exciting online format.
We wish all our families good health at this difficult time.
From the Bazil Grumble team.
