Questions

Do you offer a trial class?

We offer new students a no obligation trial class for School-based Drama Classes and Mini Makers. We ask all parents/guardians to register online as part of our child protection policy (to ensure we have all the correct details!) and we require payment for school-based drama classes in advance. However, we understand your apprehension at committing to a term of drama classes with the thought in the back of your mind that it might not be right for your child. So for your peace of mind we have a very simple risk-free refund policy: all you have to do is enroll your child into the term 1 drama classes and, if after attending the first class they are not enjoying it, please send us an email before the next class and we will refund the full fee.

Do you collect prep students from their class?

Yes, we offer a prep pick up service. When you enrol your child into drama class, please specify which room they arein and our Bazil Grumble teacher will pick them up from the prep room and escort them to drama. Family and friends are encouraged to wait outside the classroom during lessons as it helps the students concentrate without distractions. You can then collect your child from the drama room at the end of the lesson and talk to the teacher about how they went in the class.

How do you manage the various age groups?

Classes incorporate students from various year levels and the teacher ensures that every child is consistently engaged in the activities, and challenged at a level appropriate to their age.

Is it a requirement that a parent or guardian attends the drama class?

Family and friends are encouraged to wait outside the classroom during drama lessons as it helps the students concentrate without distractions. You can then collect your child from the drama room at the end of the lesson and talk to the teacher about how they went in the class.

I have heard about Bazil Grumble drama classes occurring in a nearby school, am I able to enrol my child from another school?

Yes, you are more than welcome to enrol your child into one of our drama classes at another school. However, please note that we must start our classes at their scheduled time so we cannot wait for students who may be late due to travel time/traffic.

What should we bring for a Bazil Grumble event?

We recommend that everyone wears comfortable clothes, closed-in shoes, have applied sunscreen (as well as having additional on hand if needed throughout the session), a hat, a full drink bottle and snacks to have during breaks in the session.

What happens if it is raining?

If an outdoor session is to be cancelled due to poor weather conditions, you will receive a text message on the day from us informing you. We will also have a staff member at the location to inform anyone who may arrive for the session that it is cancelled.

We have registered for an event but can no longer attend, do we need to inform you?

It would be greatly appreciated if you could either email us at admin@bazilgrumble.com or call 0411 246 487 to let us know prior to the event that you can no longer attend.

What costume should my child wear for the end of term performance?

Your child’s costume will be written on the front of their script. If your child has lost their script, please email admin@bazilgrumble.com.au and we can send a replacement. Don’t forget that we hold a dress rehearsal the week before the performance and encourage all students to bring their costume.

What is the date and time of my child’s performance?

All performance dates and times are posted on our blog and the link is available here. We also email parents asking them to RSVP to the performance. If you did not receive the email, please check your junk folder, otherwise email admin@bazilgrumble.com.au to check we have your correct contact details.
