Our team currently works with teachers in schools to provide strategies for the effective implementation of the Arts Syllabus.

Our artistic director, Fiona Bazley Hodges, is a registered teacher with the highest rating for teacher suitability and is currently working on a regular basis with teachers of p-7 from Brisbane Metropolitan schools. Fiona teaches the students drama in a manner that serves to compliment their learning in other curriculum areas. The classroom teachers observe and participate in the lessons and work with Fiona to develop strategies that they can use to extend the learning concepts from the drama lessons into other areas of the curriculum. Principals see this as an ideal professional development opportunity for their staff as it allows teachers to gain first hand knowledge of creative methods of Arts Syllabus implementation. Fiona works with teachers to develop Arts Festivals, Musicals and other special events that allow every child to reveal their individual personality and creativity in their roles.

Members of our team are also facilitating professional development projects both at schools and through teacher training organisations throughout the state in diverse areas of the arts including Clay Animation, Ceramics, Juggling and Clowning, and Performance.

Education Support Material Preparation
Bazil Grumble Children's Theatre is a specialist in the area of Education Support Material preparation. Our registered Primary and Secondary teachers currently provide comprehensive Teachers Notes to enhance educational performances at the Brisbane Powerhouse Centre for the Live Arts. We work with venues or companies to provide Education Support Materials for their programs that are relevant, creative, comprehensive and user-friendly.

Team Building Programs
Bazil Grumble has worked across Queensland with children and adults from diverse backgrounds to facilitate dynamic, hands on, arts centred team building programs that allow people to learn more about themselves and others. In our team building workshops we create a safe and supportive environment for team development, allowing people to interact with others to develop strategies for effective team communication. We find that, as effective communication skills are gained throughout the workshops, people begin to feel a heightened sense of confidence in their own skills and abilities, confidence in the skills and abilities of their peers and confidence in the organisation that they represent.
